The available images featuring your ancestors are as varied as the original publications they came from. The one thing they all have in common however was that the individual was mentioned by name.
Images may be one or a combination of:
- Head and shoulders photograph (normally 45mm by 30mm)
- Full body photograph
- Group photograph (normally quarter or half page)
- All photographs are named with rank and regiment however some are captioned. Captions often tell a story of a heroic deed or the circumstances of a death. Some captions write about parents, a wife or children and therefore provide important genealogical information.
- A story written by the serviceman or correspondent (often two or more pages)
- Rarely there will be a full page photograph or colour illustration.
The documents are photographed to maintain the best possible greyscale rendering. However, please note that any image is only as good as the original - some of which are approaching 100 years old.
The price is £4 for a set of images or articles attributed to the named individual.
